Best Tune For MPG

Post by dbshelton »

I have a Predator with latest software update and an 04 Cummins. Which tune will give me the best MPG?

On my last fill up I went 615mi on 28 gallons of fuel hand calculated = 21.9 and never got over 77mph running the performance stack on 60hp great job diablo!! But i had to swallow my pride more than a couple times and let everybody pass me on the road, not fun, but now that I know I can get good MPG's when i want to, so now I will be smoking like crazy again because it is way more fun to drive like that!
just some food for thought
*************************************************************This is a thread i posted about 2weeks ago or so, but if you dont have the power puck the performance tune alone should work great.

Extreme tune for me, 60,000kms on the stock trans with this program and just a little slip every now and then.

My question as well. I have a long trip coming up and was wondering if i would get better mpg on extreme or performance. All of my driving (work) is done city towing. What could I look forward to on a long 10hr hwy trip?

I drive with extreme. I did a 1000mile trip last winter and drove pretty nice, keeping it under 70 mostly closer to 60 and mangaged to get almost 19mpg imperial. Not as exciting as some guys claim but I was happy with that. I think it does better on perf, and has good power. I just neve think to change it back.

i like the race box,its not very agresive though,i only use it for a bit more presure, when used by itself without the pred at all its ok,but i find all the tunes for it come one in the higher rpms, not much lowend stuff and thats what i like,i tried the mpg tunes but havent noticed any diference, its probaly a good box if u use it by itself,i dont notice it much stacked with the pred, the pred makes wayyyyyyy more power for sure
