I have an updated U7170 with the new codes put in by Diablo.I put the truck in the 85hp tune and the CEL comes on and off while driving normal at 65mph.The light will come on and stay on for several miles.Light goes out and then comes right back on.Turn the truck off and re-start,after a few seconds it will come back on.I never had a CEL while I had it in the 110hp setting.The truck runs fine but the CEL thing is annoying...Any thoughts?

What is the code it is giving you?

Brian...Not sure yet.I just switched it to 85 yesterday evening and this is the first time I have had it in this setting since I got the programmer back from ya'll.I have been using the 110 hp setting up until now.I was told by Mike that the 85 should give me better fuel mileage.I will check the codes and let you know.Thanks

Is the PO603 KAM ERROR something I should just clear with the programmer or will theCEL come back with the same code?

Brian...Phil said you were working on a download for my 85hp /po603kam error problem.Will you let me know when you come up with the fix?Thanks

Actually I was ficing all of the rest of the codes... the 0603 I cannot fix and it goes away after a complete drive cycle of the OBD systems...

Brian...this may be a dumb question but explain a complete drive cycle.Do I need to leave it in the 85hp tune to complete the drive cycle to clear this up?

That is correct it will take probably at least a week to complete.

I will put it back in the 85 and drive it.The CEL is just anoyying coming on and off.The other codes I listed,it said they were normal for a tuned vehicle.Will my fuel mileage get better?The best I can get is 14 and before I had it updated I was getting 19-20mpg.I took the truck to my diesel mech and he put it on the computer,all checked out fine.I used to run in the 100hp tune and get 19-20mpg.

Then I would run the 100hp then.

ran my 02 for 2 weeks p603 still comes on 85 and 110 hp not sure what a drive cycle is but think after 2 weeks i cycled enough.

I dont even pay that light any attention anymore if it goes out after a mile or two(soft codes).I can set it off just about anytime.

Any resolution on this? I have 2 customers, one with a 99 and one with an 01 and both have this problem on the 85 HP tune. One of the P06xx codes was only applicable to california equipped trucks and they wont run when cold. Both of these are Federal emissions trucks.
