Skip Shift Still Here (Corvette U7178 Ver. 2.13)

Post by VinnyVette »

I have the U7178 Predator with version 2.13 on my 2001 Corvette. I tuned it with the Performance Tune and my Skip Shift a.k.a CAGS isn't totally turned off. Sometimes the CAGS is off, sometimes the CAGS is on. Scratching my head on this one! :? Anyone know? Here are the circumstances in which CAGS will go on:

* Engine coolant is 170° F or higher
* Speed between 15 and 20 MPH
* Throttle between 0 and 25%

I think the CAGS is working as programmed and my Predator hasn't eliminated it as it is suppose to!

Also, how can I find out the specific parameters that were used from the Performance Tune I installed from the Predator? (e.g. The temperature the electric fans turn on at)

Did you go in the adjustable parameters and turn the CAGS off? You have to do that in order to eliminate it.
The fans are lowered 30deg across the board in the default Predator tune.

Thanks for the quick response and clarification Johan. I was assuming the default Predator Tune automatically eliminated the CAGS. But I am also wondering if there is a list of everything the default Predator tune had changed compared to my stock tune.
