the fuel trims show you that your ECM is adding that much more fuel, because you are running lean. Ideally, to get a better idea of what your normal driving/cruise fueling is doing, we'd like to get more than 4 numbers/readings.

no, don't really need to see the short term fuel trims.

the O2 readings at WOT give us a very general idea of your WOT fueling - richer or leaner. (yours need to come up)

have you made any adjustments to the tune that you installed?

If not, here's what I would do:

set the injector slope to -5%

set the PE (both rpm ranges) to +5%

drive for about 50 miles for the ECM to relearn the new fueling/injector settings, then get some more numbers to look at.

when i was driving along it switch between these 4 nubers at 70mph (long term fuel trim =7.81,3.91,4.69,6.25). when driviing along ltft didn't drop below the 3.91 this for both banks. Do I need to drive at differnt speeds to get ltft. So wot it also looks like it running lean too?

I'll do some more data logging to today to see what i come up with.

The Vararam is likely leaning the tune out a bit.
Try getting a steady LTFT value while criusing at about 55mph, while holding the gas pedal steady. You should get the value to lock in to a tight range.
Try making the changes suggested by 06MonteSS and see where that puts you.

Mike and 06MonteSS
Here what got after makeing the changes above.
I was think of changing injector slope frim -5 to -3.
what do you think?

70mph
long term fuel trim bank 1 3.91,2.34,1.56,-1.56
long term fuel trim bank 2 3.91,1.56,1.56,-0.78

when i first got ao the freeway i was geting the +#, but after 15min of driving i held -1.56 and -0.78 all way home.

wot #
3rd to drive was 890 and 870

1st to 2nd 930 and 3rd 890 and 870

55mph is kind hard to do in AZ because the speed limt is 65mph.

Mike,
I want to know the hotter the intake air is the leaner the truck going run?
So would want to long in after because it is hotter than at night to get worst case.

5:00am
Intake temp 102
Engine temp 194
70mph
long term fuel trim bank 1 3.91,2.34,1.56,-1.56
long term fuel trim bank 2 3.91,1.56,1.56,-0.78

When I first got on the freeway I was getting the +#, but after 15min of driving I held -1.56 and -0.78 all way home.

wot #
3rd to drive was 890 and 870

1st to 2nd 930 and 3rd 890 and 870

70mph
Night
Intake temp 88
Engine temp 188

long term fuel trim bank 1 -1.56, -2.84
long term fuel trim bank 2 -1.56, -2.84

the warmer the air, the less dense it is - so you would essentially be taking in less air, meaning you would be running more rich.

more air than fuel = lean

more fuel than air = rich

your ltft's are in the range where we'd want them. your 5am run average is +1.5, and your night run average is -2 -- which is in the -2 to +2 range we normally shoot for.

how's the car feel??

Biggest change is the way it ideals. When I made those changes the truck ideals a lot smother.
Seams to response faster but its really hard to tell if the truck is any faster.
Mike can I download the tune on to my computer and rename and upload to tool?
I just want to creat a tune for the winter and summer.
I live in AZ and in summer gets about 120 degrees here problem have to tune it for the summer time.

Thanks again for you guys help.
If live AZ I would take you guys out for some beers.

I had emailed Johan with the same type of question... but I haven't heard back yet either...

Mine was:

when I do an export, besides my "original backup" -- I have choices for "extra tune" and "custom tune". So, which one of those files contains my modded/adjusted "DiabloTune No DOD" tune - with my slope and PE adjustments in it??

I'm looking to do the same thing as you Aaron... get a couple tunes created, then save them to my PC and load them when I need them... if for some reason I can't find the piece of paper I wrote down the settings on
