I was wondering if installing the revision updates will wipe the device of my custom tunes?

yes!
before you update the predator, you MUST restore your original backup to your vehicle first!
doing that will erase the custom tune from your predator...
but, you should have the custom tune file saved on your PC or in an email somewhere already, so after the update, you just import the custom tune back into the predator again - then reinstall the tune to your vehicle.

well, let's see here... we were tryin to be simple and not have to type all this out, hahahah... but here it goes...
you'll forever lose your original tune from your vehicle, so you'll never be able to go back to stock settings...
your predator could become locked, since the last tune written won't match the tune that's actually in your vehicle, rendering it useless...
you won't be able to even load your custom tunes in the predator again, because it has to have a copy of the original backup tune stored in it before it allows you to import a custom tune, and since the update erases the original backup outta the predator, and now you can't hook up to your car cuz the tunes don't match and it's locked, you won't be able to import 'em...
AND, in the off-chance that you try to install the diablo tunes to your car again and it works partially cuz the tunes don't match up, you could hose your ECM - thus creating a no-start issue causing you to get towed to the dealer to get the ECM reflashed to a stock tune, or worse - wiping it out completely causing you to have to buy a new ECM altogether...
so, ya wanna roll the dice??

Hate to bring this post back from the dead but I've asked it before and didn't get much of a response. Maybe I didn't word it correctly. So how do you fix this situation if you've flashed the tuner and lost the tune....because I have...unfortunately
