My car keeps throwing an EGR code i believe the generic EGR low circuit. (Can't remember the exact code, i'll post up later).Which is fine because i've removed the whole EGR system and have race headers. problem is i've tuned the code out. normally i wouldn't care, the SES light doesn't really annoy me. but i've got state inspections this month and need it to pass. Any thoughts as to why this keeps popping up? it comes on every time i start the car, even though i have turned the code off in the modify parameters section and uploaded the tune. by the way heres my info:
1999 Pontiac Trans AM
Predator U7198 and its and older revision 2.12 i think?

RE: EGR DTC
Well, lets start with what code it is?
Also, I cant imagine you are going to pass any emissions test with that stuff removed, turned off or not...

RE: EGR DTC
eh, most places in VA don't even look under the car, and pop the hood real quick to see if they can charge you for a new belt. but they do check the SES lights so i got to get that taken care of.
DTC is: P0405, EGR sensor A low circuit input.
it seems like if i turn it off it stays off for a while then comes back. do i have to turn it off every time i go into "modify parameters" and upload a new tune?

RE: EGR DTC
There may be a short circuit somewhere causing the code.
If you restore the backup, then you do have to turn it off each time you reinstall the tune.
