Took my to the dealership today because the check engine light came on and it indicated a problem with the EGR valve. 2008 with 9,016 mi. The EGR valve is on national back order and they have no idea when they can get it. I'm told this is an epidemic with the 08. I have avoided the dealer because of the updates but they have now updated it. Please hurry.
Anyone else have the EGR problem?

This is promising. The EGR valve is on a national recall because they realized they were bad and pulled all of them off the shelf. So now as the ones in the trucks go bad they don't have replacements. They threatened to void my warranty if I didn't let them "recalibrate" the computers so I gave in. Please hurry with the updates... I'm driving a big turtle. The dealer claims the recalibration does not effect power at all.
