Just installed a BBK CAI in my 98 Mustang GT and I'm wondering if I need to modify any of the parameters? Just took the car out and it feels "flat" also a couple of time when shifting into reverse or drive (its an automatic), it felt like it was going to die though it never did. I still have the old firmware, any ideas?

Thanks

I've just been to cheap to spend the $50 on the interface cable. Are the new tunes that much better?

if you have a laptop with a serial port you can buy a serial cable at Radio Shack for $18, much cheaper on the internet, and update it that way. Follow the instructions to download the crom file to your laptop, along with the Diablo software, then plug the Predator into your car to power it, while connected to the laptop, problem solved, that's how I did it....

mmorningstar,
I hadn't thought of that, can I download the update to my laptop wiithout the Predator connected? Either way though, I have a wireless internet router anyway and the signal should be strong enough to connect in the garage...great idea! Thanks.

sorry for the delay, don't get on here as much as I would like.

yes, you are using the car as the power source to turn the predator on, it will find the serial connection and connect to your laptop and go into "update" mode or whatever it's called. Just make sure you download the Diablo tool onto your laptop along with the new crom file. It's very easy to do. After you get it updated you can disconnect the serial and set the laptop aside and re-flash as normal.

oh and technically you won't need the internet in the garage because you can download the software and crom file before you go out to the garage....
