Predator tune vs. Jetchip Stage 2

I have a 2005 Magnum R/T that the previous owner had installed a Borla catback, CAI and a stage 2 Jet chip. The car runs very strong and sounds great, but I have heard several people comment that the Jet chip is basically a waste of money. I have been contemplating removing the Jet chip and buying a Diablosport Predator to use instead.

I am curious if anyone else has experimented with both of these, and would I be making the right move by doing so? Other than squeezing some more power out of the car, the main thing I would like to accomplish are some firmed shifts under WOT. Currently the car has a fairly slow and lazy 1-2 shift that feels very stock.

Any thoughts or suggestions on this?

As others have said, the JetChip is an expensive paperweight. Throw it out and get the Predator, you won't be sorry.

Don't throw it out. Marcus blew his up with an assault rifle and said it was very gratifying :)

Well, I pulled the jet chip and ran the car, didnt see any discernable difference without it. Uploaded the CAI 91 tune with the Diablosport, and so far far so good. Shifts are definately faster and firmer. Will take it out on the highway later on and see how it does. With the mods I have, does it make any sense to look for a more custom tune rather than the CAI91 tune that comes standard with the Predator? Just curious how much more if any potential the car has in it now.

Am also curious about the 93CAI tune, I have heard mixed results from people using it.

For the mods you have a custom tune isnt really necessary.

I ran my car on a Dyno with and without the Jet Chip - there is no difference. The Dynop tech thought it was an empty black box and the dyno results supported that assertion.
