hoping someone can answer this but, i ended up getting 2 vins in my computer, sent in my predator to get reset, did that, and then my computer wasnt any good. My old pcm thought it was a manual....i installed a tune into it to see if it would change anything and it didnt, so i went and bought a new pcm
Now im curious if the predator can tell a difference between a manual truck and an automatic. To be honest im scared to install it after my last round of problems. I dont want to install it and then make my new pcm think its a manual transmission when its not(thus messing up the new pcm). Can a predator do this??
safe to tune?

RE: safe to tune?
Your problem was due to the fact that your tuner was locked to another truck and you let it restore a stock tune to your truck that did not belong to it.
As long as the tool is reset, and only used in your truck properly, you'll be fine
