Bought Predator. Bought pc cables. Ordering, waiting, shipping, etc. and after a couple weeks I got the tool. Plugged it in and it it needed an update. Spent 3 days trying to get tool connected and programs uploaded to my newer laptop. Joke joke joke and ready to return it after figuring out that none of the instructions make sense or work. No plug and play function for disc. When tool and USB plugged in I got a tone and no wizard.

Finally decided to try my antique laptop with XP. Instructions still didn't make sense or agree with pc, but I managed to use the disc. Then the tool connected (even though it wouldn't say so. Finally the tool uploaded the calibrations and even uploaded the newer revisions #3.

Yesterday I tested a CAI and it had ZERO gain. Although advertising 25rwhp, for a similar system to stock, I couldn't get it to quite equal stock intake and I put the stock intake back on. I used the CAI for 2 days to give the computer time to adjust. I didn't read any statements that CAI needed ECU programing so I'm assuming ECU adjusted itself.

Glad I happeded to own an XP computer and didn't have to return Predator or hire a computer Guru to install progarms. I'll start a tune tomorrow.

If/when I turn off the Exhuast reburn system, are any other changes required? Fuel trims, timing, etc?

Anyone find the same results with their Cold Air Intake System? I used my Vericom200 performance computer to 1/4 mile and 1-60mph time the wife's pickup and decide when the ecu had finished adjusting (time went faster and faster, then slowed and stabilized).

Stock Hemi Ram Quad Cab with 4x4 and canopy went 16.0@90mph stock then slowed to 16.5 with stock CAI intake systems. 17.5@81mph then down to [email protected] or so with aftermarket CAI that cost $460. Not impressed.

The Hemi exhaust looks really really bad. Flat exhaust manifolds with Cats a few inches away from the manifolds and more mufflers. I couldn't find any decent headers for the truck. Some outfits on ebay are selling 5.9L headers (360) as fitting 06 Hemis for $200us. Other companies also sell headers for the Hemi that show pics of LA head headers. Any suggestions?

What hp increase is being realized with headers and dual exhaust?

What cold air system? Generally they pretty much all increase performance from what i have seen.
One thing that i have seen with some cold air systems is that the iat sensor relocation might end up very close to a heat source in which case you will have a great loss in performance due to the spark being pulled for the higher than normal iat's.
A set of "good" headers should yield you another 10-20rwhp. Check Kooks, SLP, JBA etc.

Airraid.

08 Dodge Ram has huge air filter. Air filter box is slighlty smaller than airraid boxs, although airraid bos seals to hoodpad? airraid has smaller air tube. Only significant difference is that stock has reverb chambers and looks nicer than airraid's 3.25" PVC air tube. Both sysystems use same air intake and sizes are similar. Same locations etc.

I figure that I could build a better system with a cone filter 6' of pipe and a silicone couple to attach to the TB. Use 4" tubing to the back of the headlight. Add a couple of braces and yopu're done. Buy a bent pipe section with a better radius than both stock and Airraid use and it may perform better than both.

Certainly don't see $400 worth of merchandise or performance.
