Info on the Predator

Post by jbrff33 »

I have a 2002 Silverado 1500 5.3L Vortec V-8. I am interested in buying the Predator for my truck, but worried want damages could be done to the truck. Has anyone heard of any damage done and how bad was it? Also how pleased is anyone with their new Predator on a Silverado 1500 5.3. Thanks for the help.

We do not make our tunes so edgy that the pose a problem such as breaking your vehicle. One must do some serious de-tuning in order to break a GMT800 series truck. These trucks have a very good knock sensor system which will detect the slightest knock (detonation) and remove timing accordingly, we do not alter any of the knock calibration in our tunes. We do not make the tunes run lean (part throttle or wot) to the point that it might break something. As a matter of fact most GM's like to be around 12.8:1 during wot, which is far from lean. We also have built in limits in the parameter section so you can not exceed timing or fuel limits to the point where they become dangerous.
