Guys,
I have a 2007 Dodge 3500. I have added a K+N fuel injection performance kit and a Magnaflow cat-back 5" exhaust. I also am using the predator U7131 with the revision that came on it when I purchased it new last month. I have it set on the 1st setting for towing/mileage. From what I have read elsewhere on here it seems that I may start having transmission issues and need to add guages. My question is am I safe running it the way I am without making additional upgrades to my transmission and adding guages?
Thanks

Well...........here's my 2 cents worth. Gauges are ALWAYS a good idea, they don't prevent things from happenning, they just let you see that something is going on. That being said, I run my 06 with 37" tires around on Extreme (best mileage) all the time except when towing and I don't have gauges..... I just use common sense. As far as the transmission mods go, never a bad idea either but I have 140,000kms on my truck and that Predator has been on there for 115,000 of them and the trans still works fine. The harder you drive it, the faster you'll wear it out!
You'll get a lot of "Doomsday" prophecies over leaving everything stock if you ask around enough places, the guys on this site are pretty decent but if you stop and think before you get on the skinny pedal once in awhile, you may be just fine.

well said cookie, but even on tow i would get gauges cause on a long pull on a steep grade it will get hot fast. On tow mode racing a buddy of mine i hit 1325* or thats when i noticed it, so tow will still get warm.
