NEW DSP not working on my 2004 SRT-4 HELP!!!!

Sorry, I'm not sure if I posted this in the right spot but I need help badly.
I don't have the DiabloSport Predator part number on me right now but I'm seriously having issues with my new DSP for my 2004 stage 0 SRT-4. I will grab it at lunch to post the number as I am at work now. What happens is, I plug in the unit with the car off and the unit then turns on and shows the 2003-2005 Dodge SRT-4 screen, then it goes right to the menu and it says in the manual to go to "performance tune" I go there and I agree to the disclaimer, then it says to turn the ignition on making sure NOT to start the car. So I turn on the ignition and press the button to proceed on the DSP, it thinks for a few seconds and then says "make sure your key is in the on position" and I do (I check over and over) and I press the proceed button again and it keeps saying "unplug the unit and restart" every damn time. Now, at first I thought it was my compustar remote starter/alarm/turbo timer interfering with it because I have auto start on a standard SRT-4, so I took the car in to have them disconnect the module itself so the alarm/starter wouldn't work at all and tried it then, SAME RESULT. Am I doing something wrong? Could it be that the software doesn't work with my model of SRT-4? Is that possible? I didn't get the computer package with the cable with my kit, just the handheld tuner. I guess I better get the "dats" package or whateve it is too, but I'm worried that it won't help either, any ideas?
Any insight is appreciated, I am just lost and really upset about this thing. I have heard nothing but good about these and I cannot get it to work at all with my car. Any ideas?
I'm desperate!
Thanks, Matt
