I picked up a used predator last night. When I got home and tried to install it I get a warning "This tool is not licensed for use with this vehicle". I read about it and found that it is hung up with the old truck. The previous owner had returned his truck to original before selling it to me and the last tune written is stock tune.

What do I need to do to get it to where I can use it?

that is the first thing I thought was it was still tied to the other truck. Maybe you need to upgrade the tool. Sounds like a different error msg but sometimes if your calid is newer then the tool is programmed for you get problems.

I found a cable and updated the crom to 9R03 and still get the same error. I read about the live table reset on the manual but can't find it under the options tab.

Has me baffled. Guess I'll call Monday AM

makes me wonder if you can program original tune back to the truck without resetting the tool. Hope that is not the case. Its simple but can be confusing to me a least. I am always a bit scared every time I change a tune in case something goes bad and my truck will not work. I hope its a simple fix and you don't have to hunt down the seller.

This tool is locked to another truck.

2 options here:

1. restore the stock tune to the vehicle it is currently married to; or
2. contact our sales department at 877 396 6614 and pay $129 for an unlock. call with the tool powered up please.
