Changed my mind about octane booster.

I must have gotten a bad tank of gas (ARCO/BP). My ST KR was going up to 5 degrees. I even saw some LT KR.

Since I had more than a 1/2 tank of gas left I figured I would test some octane booster which usually does not work. It's always better to just add real high octane gas (like 100 octane unleaded you can get at the track).

I heard that the best octane booster is NOS brand. I bought some NOS Racing Formula (they also make street and off-road formulas).

After adding it my KR went down to 1.5 and the finally 0. To go from 5 to zero at WOT shows it does in fact work. I'm pretty happy with it. I will use it again in the future if necessary.

Well I added a bottle to my tank earlier today to make sure I didn't have some bad gas giving me the KR I am getting and saw no change in kr... guess that means it isn't my fuel. I took away 1 degree of timing across the board and all LT KR was eliminated however... Still getting ST KR as high as 5 in midrange and high end tho... and sometimes even that much at part throttle situations... What does a person do regarding a CMR tune when there isn't anyone doing that for MOPARS in the area? I live in the Kansas City MO area...
