I just got back my upgraded Predator and was wondering where should i start with the logging? I only have GM performance exhaust and K&N drop in filter. What should I be loggiing? ANd what kind of changes should be made after the logginig is done? I have also see where some have sent in there log file to get a custom tune.

Do I need to pull the radio and Onstar fuses when I log?
Do I have to use the Sewell USB-Serial cable or will any work? My Sewell cable went bad so I have to get another one. Frys carries the Belkin Cable.

no, no need to pull any fuses...
don't get a belkin cable, get a different brand... i've heard of compatibility issues with belkin cables...

I think you log at cruise and then give a couple of WOT runs.

fast data, more data per second. it does fill memory faster.

I did a run with the fast data log today. It took about 20-25 minutes to do the log. Now I just need to get my USB-Serla cable next week to see the results.

Well I did my first log. Unfortunately DSLOGREDUX could not complete the analysis. It says I need to also log one of the following, command throttle position, absolute throttle position, or the Accelerator pedal position. I thought that the U7193 did not log these so I did not look for them when I did the first log. Quess I need to log again.
I can get on a road where I can drive at 75mph for a while. This puts me in the 2000rpm-2200 range. Should I log this way or should I log in 3rd?
Thanks

After doing some more Reading in this forum it looks like I need to get a fresh log since I had the AC on. It was only 104 outside. Looks like some night logging. Just need to figure out what I can log and should log????

your 7193 probably won't have the Air Fuel Ratio, but you will have one of those throttle/acclerator pedal position parameters...
104*??!!! DAAAAAMN... fuck that..
and, something's wrong with your log file you posted... it's corrupt... did you get from the Dataviewer?? did the File >Export to CSV???
I tried opening it up in excel and I get errors - file is in unrecognizable format... then it displays it and it's all garbage characters...
try emailing it to me at diablo.help(at)gmail.com

I did get the log from data viewer. It opened in Excel just fine for me. I will export it again later today and email it to you. It will be a few days before I can get a new log.
Thanks
