Hey everyone i just bought a predator for my 07 silverado 4.8l.I had one of these for my mustang and loved it.It will be in tommorow but i think before i even get to enjoy it im learning that this model doesnt delete rear o2s to turn ses light off.I am running obx lts with ory with straight thru resonators.i tried clearing the codes via scanner and antifowlers too but damn this is back on.Will this help me get the light off as guess when my inspection is up.TOMORROW.So i will need to install the 93 tune then back it to post on here as well as factory file?how long to get a cutome tune if necessary.
p.s outside this issue i am happy about buying again.

well, fyi... even after you install a tune (i.e. reflash the ecm), you'll need to drive for about a week before you'll be able to pass emissions - cuz when the ecm is reflashed, all the emissions readiness tests it performs get reset to "not run" / "incomplete" / etc etc...

do you still have CAT's on it?? if not, I'll have to disable stuff for that as well...

diabling the rear O2's and the CAT specific stuff is as far as I'll go for the free tweaks... since the diablo guys would do those quickly for free too.. ;)

but for anything else more than that... yes, more can be had outta your truck with a custom tune... PM me for info if you're interested...

if you're unsure if it's worth it or not, please feel free to ask around about people's "DiabLew Tunes" they've gotten....;)

btw - nice mean lookin' truck you got there!! LOVE the stance of that thing!!

i dont have any cats on it ,just resonator shells that will pass visual test if i come across a tedious inspector.Yeah man deleting the cats and the cot stuff will be fine and ill go from there.Thank you for the compliment onnthe truck i just finished building it last week.Oh is there torque management deleted in the diablo tunes or can you take that out as well.

custom tune for no rear O2 codes...

here's your custom tune, with the rear O2 codes and CAT-related items disabled...

instructions on how to import the tune to your predator are below...

===============================

Now - you'll need to load that custom tune into your predator, so...

1. hook up your predator to your PC

2. go to OPTIONS > CUSTOM TUNE > IMPORT TUNE -- the predator will start the transfer process of copying the custom tune from your PC to the predator, and will show "Importing from PC" on the screen.

3. start up the GMLS2InterfaceInstaller app (the E40 Interface app)

4. click the SEND FILE button - it will give you a popup window to select the tune file to import.

5. select that custom tune file that your tuner sent you back and click OK.

6. the copy process will begin and it will copy the custom tune from your PC to your Predator. You will see the byte count increasing in the lower left side of the E40 PC Interface app...

7. once it's done, it will say download complete / file transfer complete.

now the custom tune is in your predator.

---------------------------------------------------------------

After the custom tune is loaded in your Predator, you will now have CUSTOM TUNE in the main menu instead of Performance Tune.

Select Custom Tune > Install Tune.

** NOTE: your predator may prompt you to say that you are changing tunes, and then ask you if you want to "Reset All Parameters?" - make sure you answer/select YES to this question to reset the parameters that you adjusted before. The changes you made yourself before are already in the custom tune, since you copied it out of your car to send to the tuner. If you select NO, then it will apply your adjustments on top of the adjustments that are already in the tune, and it will get ugly.

You can also still modify the custom tune just like any of the performance tunes.

do the install just like any other performance tune, and you're good to go with your new custom tune.

Hey MikeyB, I would definitely recommend a custom tune from Lew. He just finished mine up and there is a significant difference in power and torque over the "Canned Tune' that comes in the Preditor. He definitely knows his stuff and is available for questions nearly 24/7. I know there are many more people on the forum who will agree w/ me about Lew's custom tunes.

If your thinking about a Diablew tune, do it, its worth. I have an 87 octane and I'm gonna get a 91 tune made up. Worth every penny.
