Got the predator last week along with a 180 therm.
When it first went in, the car ran fine. 91 CAI with the shift firmness increased.
BUT
what its doing now is, at times it feels like the throttle isn't opening at mid pedal and/or it will lock the converter at 1500 rpm and won't down shift. If I get out of the gas and back on...it will get up and go. Its like its bogs. If I hold it, it will pull itself out of it and then take off. Or if I let off, and get back on the gas....it goes good.
I went and reset the trans adaptives, and its instantly better. But half a day later, its back to old tricks. Reset it again......and its fine....then does it again.
Well I took it out....and ran like...well stock.
So i put it back in.....reset everything.....awesome for the 1st day.....
Then it went back to its old ways. For a while I thought maybe it was the MDS, so I disabled, and it did the same thing. So I turned the MDS back on.
But cruising along, it will "buck" here and there. The tach acts like the TC is unlocked when you give it gas and then the next minute, its locked up.
I was driving back from L.A to vegas and had to put the stock program back into it in Barstow (halfway mark), it was getting worse.
What I did notice is if its doing it, and you reset the trans, it fixes it for about a day, then its no good again.
It has the 9r18 revision....not sure what is different in it versus the 9r17??? 2009 Daytona Charger.

????? No solutions ??????
I went ahead a installed the r17 version back into the tool, and loaded it into the car. This time I disabled the MDS.
Any idea on the time frame until the 09 can have its shift points modified???

i love how these diablo answer the ridiculous questions here but when theres a serious question and a serious problem they are no where to be found. i'm having the same problem and i got brushed off. they can at least admit that there is a problem with the predator concerning the '09 chargers and that there will be an eventual fix coming.
RE: 09 Daytona does not like its Predator
My 08 Magnum 5.7 does the same with or without a Predator tune. Sometimes it will stick in a gear for a while. Sometimes it hesitates. Sometimes is seems to bog down. Sometimes it bucks. But like I said it does it with or without a Predator tune. In my case it's certainly no fault of the Predator.
RE: 09 Daytona does not like its Predator
Yeah i am not sure this is really a tune issue, have you had the dealer check your trans oil level maybe?

This is what I know now.....
Stock.....no issues
Immediately after install of tune.....runs great.
Later in the day/2nd day after install........no good.
If i reset the trans adaptives.....its good again.....then goes to crap.
