turn signal flashing too rapidly after tune
Hello all:
07 Mustang GT conv. AUTO w/Predator U7145 v9r03 (the only mods are BBK CAI and Magnaflow mufflers)
Last tune I installed ws 91 Performance tune with +10 MAF to get fuel Long Term Fuel Trims to 0 for my BBK CAI. Still not sure if readings are correct.
LTFTs=0
STFTs=11.
MAF was measuring something like 36
Anyway, after installing last tune, now my left turn signal is flashing at twice the rate as before. Right signal is fine. Nothing else seems wrong. Tried unplugging battery for a couple minutes, didn't fix it. Time was reset but not radio stations. Did I not leave it disconnected long enough? Is there anything else I can try? I plan to revert to original backup next...Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks,

sounds like a bad bulb
2003 Mach 1 K&N cai w/screen

Bassani O/R X 2.5 flowtubes to Delta 40's
w/factory tail pipes

Meanwhile, what does adding +% to the MAF do? Does it lean the air/fuel mixture or richen it? WIth 91 perf tune, I still had some ping (with A/C on) @ +5% MAF and no ping @ +10%. It seems less responsive at +10% though...
91 performance tune gave me 20 for LTFTs when measured
+5% gave me 10 for LTFTs (about 1-2 on STFT)
+10% gave me 0 for LTFTs (11 on STFT)
Should I be concerned about STFT or only LTFT when doing data log?
Does a high LTFT mean running too rich or too lean? Does running rich cause carbon buildup in tailpipe? I noticed this black carbon after running 91 perf. tune for a few days. Still no trouble codes for any of these settings.
Mike: do I need a seprate post for this question or can I get an answer here?

May want to try going up to 10% on the MAF curve.
Adding to the MAf curve commands more fuel.
At part throttle, the trims are used to get you to 14.7:1 A/F ratio, so if you see +15% LTFT, it is adding 15% fuel there to avoid being leaner than 14.7:1.

turn signal problem still there
OK, unfortunately restoring the Original Backup did not fix the problem with the rapid left turn signal. I also tried disconnecting the battery for longer this time (half hour). Still no help. Was that long enough time for the system to fully discharge and do a full computer reset?
Anyone have any ideas? I believe this was caused by the Predator, maybe it has corrupted my car's computer programming some how. I read about someone else's power window malfunctioning after using the Predator. I thought their resolution was to disconnect battery like I just did.
What next? Hmmm. It doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth about this device. I hope I don't have to take it to a dealer to fix...

RE: turn signal problem still there
Just out of curiosity, have you tried looking for a bad bulb? The blinker flashing faster is a result of a bad bulb in pretty much all cars now.
Turn the right blinkers on, get out the car and look at the front and back lights to see which ones are blinking.
Now do the same with the left. Are all the same lights blinking?

working now!
IT WAS THE BULB! A FLAKY TURN SIGNAL BULB IN THE REAR WAS GOING OUT AND WHEN NOT WORKING WAS CAUSING THE FAST FLASHING. Found and confirmed Shaken's prognosis (nice job by the way) by reading posts on ALLFORDMUSTANGS.com. REPLACED BULB, PROBLEM GONE!
I shouldn't have been so quick to blame the Predator. Got paranoid from reading some of the posts here. Everything is fine, tune is reinstalled and running great with +8 added to MAF. Will post exact numbers later on the adjustment and confirm she is dialed in.
Thanks all...
sincerely,
