I updated from V.9r03 to 9r10 today. I set it to the 100hp setting and drove to Home Depot. I noticed it would belch out black smoke when taking off from a light. On the interstate, I let off the pedal and coasted for 10 seconds or so, then lightly accellerated to get back to 65mph and a LOT of black smoke came out the exhaust for a moment.
I just had the engine serviced two weeks ago and the mechanic said he reprogrammed the engine to PCM# 5U7ACKG. I dont know if that means anything with respect to the V.9r10 crom but I have not experienced this excess exhaust smoke with any prior version. I have since reset the factory setting.
I still have v.8r10, v.8r13, and 9r03 in my laptop, so I wonder if I should reload one of those into the Predator. Ideas?

Stick the tool onto the truck and go to troubleshooting and get it to show your CAL ID and post it up here.

With the truck set back to the original backup, the Calibration ID is: VXCF7N3

vxcf7 is only supported by the new 9r10, if your really worried about smoke i can limit it a bit with custom tune
