What would happen with low-octane gas?

Hasn't happened yet, but what would happen if the wife has to gas up and decides to pinch pennies and opt for 87 octane fuel while running the 93 octane tune?

most likely a bunch of KR... there's too much timing/spark advance in the 93 tune for the 87...

Great. Thanks. I just wanted to make sure she doesn't end up sputtering home some day swearing at me the entire way!....well, at least for THIS potential problem.
I only ask b/c i desperately needed to get gas the other day and forgot, and forgot again, and then she needed the car. I got worried that she may cheap out like she usually would, so i told her that i'd gas up later...to which she replied "i know...i ain't doin' it!"
