MPG?!

I just recently purchased a predator (U7151) for my 2006 Ford F-150 and the mpg has gone from about 17mpg to about 13-14mpg on the 87 octane setting. The question I have is, is there a way that I can inprove the MPG using the Predator? I reset my truck to the original setting, but I have not seen any difference. And NO I have not been driving like a "bat out of hell."

any thoughts?

If you guy's are going by the display for MPG it is no longer accurate with a tune installed on the vehicle. You will have to calculate it manually to get your correct MPG numbers.

Due to the performance increase with a new tune, most people are tempted to "get on it" more often. This in itself leads to poor fuel economy...I have learned this through my own experience!!! LOL

i understand all this but when you drive 40 miles round trip on the highway everyday to work you can watch your miles pretty good. and i get right at 18.5-19 mpg consistantly tank after tank. weather i put my foot in the fan or just cruise with the flow. so who know at least its not just god awful MPG,ya know??

I had the same results concerning the mileage drop when I loaded the 87 tune (9r04 rev.) but when I downloaded the 9r08 rev. and installed it my mileage and performance increased over the stock tune. For my truck the 9r08 rev. was a noticeable improvement over the 9r04 rev. I noticed the same drop that you did on the highway of about 3-4 MPG with the 9r04 rev.

Good luck.

So let me get this straight, this gadget is touted as a performance AND MPG enhancer but the MPG part isn't true?? I'm feeling ripped off here; I notice the quicker throttle response on my F150 and gotta admit it's impressive but I bought this thing to boost my MPGs... :o

No I saw the post, but I'm using the 9r08 rev and still see no noticeable improvement in MPG. I have run the same 200 mile route every weekend for months at 72mph (cruise control) and my mpg is 16-18. Predator has no effect. Is there a parameter or 2 that I can wiggle to try and improve it? What does the different MAF Curves do?

Ok believe me or not new 4.10 gears and a bama chips tune and I am getting 23-24 mpg on the highway and steady 19-21 intown so you may be getting poor mpg from load detonation by trying to be to conservitive
