06 C6 LTFT Question

Post by turboffr »

Just finished logging LTFT's. bank 1 avg. = 15.6 % and bank 2 avg = 13.2%. DSLogRedux is recommending adjsuting the inj slope down by 15%. If I understand this correctly this will richen up the mixture? Reason I ask is because I also did a few WOT runs and AFR is in the high 10's. I've attached the file of the cruise if anyone wants to take a look. Seems like a big adjustment to me, but I'm new to this. Appreciate any help. Thanks.

anyone have a chance to look at this? Is -15% a big adjustment?

yeah, it's more then usually seen...

all clamps are TIGHT between your CAI intake and throttlebody, right?? no exhaust leaks?? no aftermarket or descreened MAF (if it had one originally)??

if everything is TIGHT and there are no air leaks anywhere, then go ahead and adjust your slope...

stock MAF, all clamps are tight, stock headers with just the cat back (no noticeable exhaust leaks). There was a Granatelli MAF calibrated for CAI on the car when I bought it. I took it off and replaced it with the stock meter since I was getting the SLP Predator.

just to confirm, reducing the slope in the predator is richening the mixture, correct?

thanks Monte. I changing out the CAI to a Callaway so I may hold off and datalog some more after I install it. Would it be a good idea to disconnect the battery for a while and reset the trims?

Also, +15%, does that mean the computer sees lean wants to add fuel? When I decrease the slope it will richen it up?

Thanks for your patience.

no need to disconnect the battery... trims will be relearned by the ECM after about 75 miles put on the car...

yes, +15 means that you are running too lean and the ECM is adding that extra fuel... so going negative on the injector slope tells the ECM that your injectors are a little smaller so that they stay open longer to spray more fuel - richening you up a little...

Monte - I drove the car about 50 miles with the -15% slope setting. Trims are getting real close. On DslogRedux if I select 1800 - 2400 RPM's the avgs' are .80171% and -.78130%: adjust slope -1%, but if I select 1800 - 2300 RPM, the avg's are: .78130% and -.78130%; adjust slope +1%. Should I just leave it where it is at -15%, what would you recommend?

fyi - the temp today was about 8 degrees cooler than when I did the first log. New log is attached.

Do you want to laugh? I just bought his Balckwing CAI from him off the Corvette Forum. I put it on today and my first log told me to adjust my LTFT's by -12%. LOL
I'm stock with Magnaflow mufflers only, no headers or cats.
I was wondering if -12% was a bit much. My K&N drop ins only required -7%. I guess that's just how the Blackwings run.
What do you think?

so you mean originally your average ltft's were at +7, then the blackwing CAI made them go to +12...

so, you needed to adjust your injector slope to -7% before, but now with the blackwing you need to adjust to -12%?

sounds normal...

but, if it's the LTFT's that went from -7 down to -12, then no, that's not normal..
