script error!!

Post by duramax(jeremy) »

im sorry but i dont have the part number but i purchased the diablo sport for my 2003 lb7 duramax and am loving it.. ive had it for a good while and do tune it up and down pretty often because i pull with it but i love the extreme tune.. well i put it on level 2 (65 horse power) a few weeks ago but wanted to tune it up and it keeps giving me script error and says install failed right before it starts putting the percent downloaded so it never makes it 2 it.. i checked my voltage because thats what i read and its perfectly fine.. i tried all the tunes except stock because i was scared it would work on it and i wouldn't be able to get it to go back up.. i would just like 2 know what else 2 try to get it to tune up????.. oh. i also checked my diagnostics and it said something about glow plugs.. i cleared it 2 see if it would work after that and it still didn't. do u think that would have anything 2 do with the script error?

thanks

You have a battery issue OR you have other electronic modules talking to the PCM and using power WHILE the predator is trying to communicate with the PCM.

So, you have to isolate the module and remove the fuse that is causing this or replace/recharge the battery. If those batteries are the original batteries and show a good voltage, then they are probably weakening enough to cause script errors but not enough to not crank and start the motor. I know it sounds weird but I have seen GM users SWEAR their battery is fine, they charge it, pull fuses, demand that it is a bad predator, then they swap out a new battery just for the hell of it and BINGO everything works fine.

Hope i was able to help you.

Yes, and also look for remote starts or trailer brakes and disconnect them if they are there.

Aftermarket radio harnesses are also a known problem.
