Quick question...

Post by duramax07tmd »

I do a lot of highway driving and i need the best fuel mileage possible. Just wanted to see everyones opinion on what HP setting everyone is getting the best MPG on the highway and around town. I am currently running it on the 85HP setting now.

The only mods i have is a ready lift leveling kit, 285-75-16 Michelin tires, 5 inch straight pipe exhaust, K&N air filter and the diablo predator.

Thanks for the input!

If you can keep your right foot under control, and you are not towing, try the 120....

I run the 120 tune all the time and I have pretty much the same set up as you other then I have 4" straight pipe and I get roughly 20mpg on the highway and 17mpg in the city.

Like MikeL. said just watch that right foot you don't wanna limp your tranny. I do tow my 16' Lund Bass Boat with that 120 tune also, but I do watch my EGT Gauge very closely.

I still feel it from time to time. I would usually get that P0401 code tow up a hill, but now that the truck is fingered that code is long gone.
