I just installed U7191 ver 8r07 on '05 SSR. I really want the fan settings lowered. How much does the 91 octane tune lower fan settings? Stock high speed fan comes on at 235 I want it around 205. thanks... :?:
I just had it out and it went to 210 and I have Hypertech 180 tstat.

Go ahead and set the first few cells to 25% and leave the rest alone.
This will allow the fans to come on sooner.

Thanks

I changed the first two from almost zero to 27%. The fan still wasn't on at 210. I installed the modified version (new fan settings) over old 91 octane tune. Should I have went back to stock first? I didn't think about it ubtill I did it.........Thanks.

No need the go back to stock whenever you program your truck.
If i recall correctly the fan table does not start until almost 200 deg, did you check the live data value for engine temp as the gauge is not very accurate, or as accurate as the live data temp would be.

I don't understand that graph at all. All I know is that my high speed fan comes on at 235, at stock setting, and I want it on around 200! When I was in traffic with new tune I was still at 225! thanks

Try raising the percentages in the first few cells to 50%, and put the rest above 50% duplicating the shape of the 'curve' already present.

Thanks

Ok Mike here are my settings, I don't understand them. 192-25%---196-25%---199-60%---203-70%---206-10%---210-30%---214-0%---217-10%---221-30%---225-20%---228-10%---231-100% How can I cool this thing down......thanks!! This was in the 91 tune except for the first 2 settings which I increased to 25% each. (U7191ver8r07) (add 50% to each one?)

Try this:
192/50%
196/50%
199/75%
203/75%
206/50%
210/50%
214/25%
217/25%
221/25%
225/25%
228/50%
230/100%

Ok Mike, what does the calibration graph do? There's no power graduation in the fan settings that I know of in the SSR. Low speed fan turns on at 219 and high speed fan turns on at 235. Can't we just lower those settings??...thanks.

In this graph you are setting the percentage of fan power applied vs. the engine coolant temperature (ect).
Keep in mind that to see any real decrease in ect you will need a lower temp thermostat.

Thanks

I have a 180 now would a 160 be too much? Wouldn't be better to have the fan at 100% over 200 or so??? Why the fluctuation up and down?

A 180 is good, the new ls motors likes it warmer than the older ones, 160 is kind of overkill.
I would go to 99% 203 deg and up on the fan settings.

I have done this on my LS2-
60% on all up to 199deg.
99.9% from 199 deg and up
Hot as hell here in Alabama.
