2000 7.3 diesel tunes

I have a u7170 that i havent used for about the last year because i was having some probleums with it and woundering if anyone has tryed the latest tunes and how they work? one when driving normal and easy under light throtal and i would lift my forrt off it seemed to slam down a gear verry harsh??? also 1st to seccond shift was verry harsh sometimes under hard acceleration or light acceleration with no load good when towing the trailor was ok? When towing the trailor and coming on a ramp to the highway under heavy acceleration it would do some really funny shifting felt like up then down and up??? sometime it felt like it was slipping through the torque convertor. also truck was next to impossible to start in the winter with the tunes in it in below zero weather??? Would love to hear from someone that has used some of the more recent tunes thanks!! PS the trans works a1 now with stock tune and have put 30k on the truck sonce the last time tune was removed.
