Just wanted to get feed back on the r14 update. Downloaded and installed the r14 update this morning left my house and drove to amarillo tx about 250+ miles and this is what i am getting. At no certain speed, with or with out crusie on the predator in performance mode and the puck put on the 60hp and on stock pulling a 5x10 crago trailer not real heavy my truck surged, cut out, stumbled, missed or whatever you want to call it 11 times during the drive, 3 of the 11 times was so bad it jerked me in the truck and now my check enegine light keeps getting set off. Used the programmer to read the code and it wouldn't read anything. Rest the code take off down the highway go about 60 to 70 miles there's the chek enigine light 4 times..it seems to be acting worse now then before the new download. This can't be good for the truck doing what it does. Any ideas or suggetions on what to try. I thought the new update was going to fix the problem but it's still there. And there is also a rough idle when going from drive to park. I love the power i'm getting and how much of a difference there is pulling the trailer but the stalling, surging, missing or what ever is really making me nervous. Any feed back will be helpfull. Once you downloaded the R14 did you do the 10 min reflash of the truck? I have to ask.
Try checking the SES light with the engine off and key on and see if you get a code.

Yes i did the 10 min reflash. This is what i did, put the stock tune back on the truck, downloaded and installed the r14 then reflashed the truck. About 2 hours later took of for a job in amarillo and the truck has very good power but cutout, missed or what ever way worse than before. The day before i drove it to tulas to see my daughter it's about a 170 mile round trip and cutout like 4 times total. I tried to get the truck to show a code with the key also but with no luck, the light only came on when the truck would cutout really hard. Anything else to try? Should i try putting the truck back to stock and do another reflash? To me nothing changed, it shows ver.R14 on the programmer so im sure it all downloaded, so i try to redownload the new update? mine still does the same thing as well but the rough idle is gone now.....

pred and pucked!!!!

Hmm, can you guys who are having these issues give me the calid of your truck. You can get that in the options>>troubleshooting>>show calid menu.
This will help me a little.

I drove about 100 miles before my truck surged, idle is good. Calid # is 45325753AB.

Same here, still has the surge, although it is not as violent as before.
I run it on performance, stacked with juice with attitude at level 1.

I'm kinda sitting back on this one, not sure if this problem is fixed. Drove my truck 200 miles or so over the weekend, r12 update installed. Set on the tow setting, puck on 50 hp, truck missed probably 10 times, sometimes pretty hard 2 seconds on a cruise on flat road. I paid close attention to the truck and it seemed like the engine would surge ever so slightly really often. At the end of the trip, ck engine light came on with codes P0088 and P0148, fuel codes that are probably related to the surge. Don't know if anybody has had these yet. Hopefully they will help. Also code u0141, doesn't come up on the predator though. I tried to clear them and they would not clear using the predator. Can I go back to the original setting of my predator for the time being, it didn't do any of this before the r12 update! I'd like to drive my truck without screwing something up. If it misses on a grade or when passing someone it jerks the whole truck badly. Keep on it please!

Hasman, so you are saying that the prior revision to r12 dd not have any of the surge issues? Has anyone else noticed this?

just the predator i have no puck idle is good i drive 20 miles back and forth to work and i experience the serge 1 time each way every day last night it was bad light foot around 40mph i think it was turbo bark sounded like a cat got suck up in it and cut out then ran like a champ. didnt have any cut out or surges with the old r7 that was in the programmer when i first got it just poor idle. didnt have the cables to update it till now. calid 45325753AB BTW i have no boost fooler stock tires only mods r muffler airintake and the predater.
