Hi,
Spoke to Mike on phone tonite and he told me to ask about my problem on the forum.
So here goes.
Having problem with cmr-dat viewer. I followed instructions from a to z about loging data to predator and getting log file from predator to dat viewer. I get transfer completed but when I try to open I always get this message .. unsupported operation attempted... I also get nothing in pid list. Mike mentionned that someonelse was having same problem and he was sent an updated version of the viewer.
I have a 2004 mustang cobra.
Any help appreciated.
Thank you.

Strange.
I'll ask someone to look into this tomorrow.
Are you running XP or Vista?
Thanks

I'm having a similar problem with datalogging, both streaming to a laptop and trying to load an uploaded log file into the CMR_DAT application.
U7145 - '07 Mustang GT
Western Motorsports 80mm intake tune
Dell Latitude D620 laptop running Win XP Pro SP2
standard serial cable on COM 1
When streaming, as soon as I press start I get a steady stream of error popups stating "an unsupported operation was attempted", about 10+ per second. I can't press the OK button fast enough to clear them out of the way so that I can stop recording, the only way out is to bring up Task Manager and kill the application.
If i just log to the Predator, it seems to work fine, and I can upload the log file to my laptop, but if I try to open the log file in CMR_DAT I get the stream of errors. In this case though, if I keep pressing OK on the error message, it looks like data is loading into the table, one data point per error message cleared.
Sounds like a Windows or software problem to me but I can't narrow it down - searching that error message on the web brings up way too many possibilities...

Predator 7146, latest rev
I'v reloaded several times using 2 seperate PC (XP & Win 7) Everything works fine except when you go to look at the viewer. After you select the saved log it does not graph and gives you an unsupported attempt message. If you keep clicking the OK button you can see the tables appearing in the background. It may work if you clicked it 6000 times. I'm not that patient.
I tried importing the Chart file that was suggested and no help????
Any Ideas

U7145 uses dataviewer, not CMR DAT...

This is a tough one to fix as the software has been unsupported for a few years now, let me see if anyone here has some input on it.

If you download and save the log file with CMR_DAT program and then open it in data viewer, it works.
Seems strange that you must download the log file with the old software and then can only open it with the new program, but hey, it works on my U7152, 04 F250.

Uggh, I missed that.
dllanod is correct, if you can get the log uploaded to the PC, you are in good shape to use DV for playback.

The data viewer program worked for me on my 7146 as well. You should make that download available for the older predators when accessing the downloads. I used the 7145 to get the viewer.
Problem solved. thanks

you have to upload the log to cmr dat, then you cal play it back on Dataviewer.
