Hey Mike! I sent my programmer in to be updated and nothing was done to it. Its a u7198 for the 99-02 trans am. the rma number was 5354. it had version 2.02 in it and it still has version 2.02 in it, not 2.13. What the deal man?

Ahhah, figured it out.
You have an SLP Predator, not a regular U7198.
These tools have their own revisions, and the most recent update for that tool is, 2.02.

is there any way i could buy a u7198 from diablo sport and you could write a tune for me for all the stuff i've got on the car? Or would I have to
take it to a cmr dealer and have them do the tune? and if thats the case are the dealers able to download the tune into the programmer?

That is possible, but why?
The tool you have now will still support custom tunes, and the tunes on the SLP tools are already pretty hot as it is.

The problem i have is i put 4.10 gears in my car and i've also done some other mods to it not including the slp stuff. and the programmer i have wont change the gear ratios and i cant adjust the fuel trim levels. and half of the options on the programmer dont work. plus i need the egr, air, and missfire code setting features but mine does not support them.

No fuel trim adjustment?
Does it have gear ratio adjustment and it does not work, or is it not there either?
Can you list off any and all adjustable parameters in the tool for me please?

it has the gear ratio selection in it but it doesn't work. when i set the ratio to 4.10 and install the tune the speedo hits 170 before i even get to 10mph and it hits the speed limiter and kills the motor. in the programmer for the modify parameters i have gear ratio, cooling fans, power enrichment, spark, shift time, up shift mph, down shift mph, up shift rpm, wot pressure, part throttle shift, rev limiter, actual wheel size, idle, torque managment, cot, and speed limiter. I also have the ability to turn of the o2 sensor codes for the cats but nothing else.

Ok, if you email me your stock tune I'll have a new tune made to turn off the AIR and EGR and list any changes you have made and we will compensate for them in the tune as well.
I am emailing you instructions now.

Sorry Mike! my email hasn't been working since mid day yesterday. either way I'm probably going to have to get a new programmer anyway because i'll need the missfire disabled and the gear ratio. plus i'll be needing to get a custom tune in the next little while anyways. thanks for your time though!

I can make all of those adjustments for you in the tune.
If you need a dyno tune in the future, we may have a CMR daeler that can tune the car for you and put the tune right in the Predator.

my e-mail is back online now so if you want to send me that message on how to send the tune to you that would be cool. and i'll have to by a cable too. would you want me to send you the stock tune, or the tune that slp maid so you can adjust the slp for the gears and the code's? Would I have to download a program to my computer to read the programmer?
