What is DOD

OK, I've looked and even tried to figure it out on my own, and short of Department Of Defense I can't figure out DOD is and why people feel the need to turn it off. Anyone wanna help a dumb homey out?

You couldn't possibly have looked very hard, AT ALL.
But it's Displacement on Demand... google it.

yeah... Displacement On Demand... which GM then changed the name to Active Fuel Management... which is what your A6 Camaro has....
you want to make sure you disable that when you do your data logging... because when it switches to 4 cyl mode, it throws off the data and it won't be correct...
so you need to disable the DOD (aka AFM) when doing your logging...

With the 87 tune, I sitill get a DOD can I tune it out?

yes - you should have a DOD parameter under Modify Tune, and you can turn the DOD On/Off - Enable/Disable...
