Predator U7145 v.9r03 07 Mustang GT
I can not seem to get any drivers to work on my computer. I have Vista 64.
I bought the USB-Serial port cable from Diablo's website and it came with a mini disc. The drivers on that disc do no work, and when I tried to install the one on the website it never worked either.

More specifically:
I install the drivers, plug in the cable (which is connected to the predator) and it asks me to install drivers.

When it asks you to install drivers, click onthat, tell it not to search the web, and tell it you will specify the location of the drivers.
Brows and show it where you have saved the driver, then it will install it for you.

Okay here is what I did:
Plugged in tool, it prompted me to search for drivers, I clicked on "locate and install" It then brings a window in the lower right "installing drivers" Then says "COM6 Drivers installed successfully" I load up DS Downloader, it can't find tool, open Data Viewer, it can't find tool. I unplug and plug tool back in, it prompts me again to search for drivers.

Is there anyway I can start from scratch? As in uninstall all the drivers and start over?

go to your Windows Device Manager and find the listing for that usb cable... will be under Ports COM / LPT I believe...
so, find the listing for that cable, then right click on it and go to Properties... make sure the com port for it is set to 1, 2, 3, or 4... and make sure the baud rate is set to 115,200...
if either of those is not what they should be, then change it....
then you should be good to go... may need to reboot after the change, not sure...

I can't change any of those parameters.
Every time I plug the tool in the COM goes up one. It is at COM12 right now.

Okay, honestly, how long has Vista been out for now and companies can not even produce proper drivers for their devices?

I have updated all my Vista Laptops/PC's with Window's Update and still cant even get version 12 downloaded so I would like to request any other help other than what has been posted for last month or so. The download times out... I dont have any interface on unit. Is there a port I could open to assist me with reaching your server correctly in hopes to retrieve the download to make this unit usable? I drove to a retailer you had listed on your website and it was a furniture store. I have updated everything and re-installed your protocal once a week in hopes to finally get the unit working... it tells me the software is corrupt obviously it times out during the download doesnt even get past 300 or so packets at the most I got one time. Are you guys able to make the downloads work on a updated vista PC? and if so what is the Vista version you are using? I could use another paperweight in my office.
