Midsun Are you pulling trailer or working the truck hard? I would take the truck down to the 80hp tune ,and give it a good run down the highway. I know that my truck on the 160hp, if i work the truck real hard it will go into regen for 30-40 miles or so.
I will say it was never 100 miles . might want to check some other thing, egr ,air intake, or injector problems... Just a thought,,
I will say that I have run the 160hp tune now for about 20,000 miles on my truck without issues.

like i said...its hit or miss with these damn trucks. It all started with the L20 family. I am really hoping the L30 family improves upon this a bit ( i had heard the l20 family goes into regen way more often by desgin compared to the older cals) and yea midsun your running my tune as you are an l20. I would take pics advice, run the 80 down the highway a bit. It still makes real good power. Personally i prefer it on the street with these trucks as the extreme is made for a good 1/4 run and that's about it...its got alot of fuel in it. Midsun check your email..

Ok Don,
Thanks I Got It! I will reload tool tonight, Thanks!
I took your advise (or should I say I told hubby to take your advise and we took it for a run down the highway) ( which I must point out I suggested last night to him) Finally out of regen.... THANKS

PIC350FORD, Thanks alot. he tows an excavator on short hauls now and then, 2 times a week about 15-30 miles. He ALWAYS has it on 160 hp tune. since download of 9t11a on august12 the truck has not regened except for the day I use it LOL... since aug it has put 750 miles on it and only when I take it running to jobsites does it get stuck. and she was stuck for 3 days and 128 miles. he was freaking!!!! He hates anyone having to work on his truck especially the dealers!!!! (no offence to no one!!!))))

NOW its time to deal with DPF delete!!!!! aint going thru this again. So do I need a whole kit or can I just buy the pipe?? Does the predator handle the computer stuff????? GUIDE me MR WIZARD!!!! LOL

Thanks very mucH!!!

the predator unfortunately can not turn off regen. However there is another option, the dpf-r kits. It will delete the dpf and uses a sim to make the pcm think the dpf is clear. That way, regen never happens and can run the predator. I believe joe has one on his truck...

Can you tell me which dpf-r kit will work w/ the predator u7164? Thanks. I thought I would have to start over w/ another tuner.
