dpf-r kits can be used...in the long run it will probably come out just slightly cheaper then the sct/dpf delete kits they sell. joestroo uses one with great success so far

who sells the dpf kits. im looking for the one for the 6.4. truck is still under warranty so i will need to swap it out if i have problems in the next 30000 miles. my truck is the dredded L30 so im still waiting on the program for the preditor. and then i need to buy an EGR valve puller so i can start cleaning it myself. hopefully all this will help my MPG. which is 12-13 now.

ok once the DPF kit is installed and the preditor program for the L30 is ready to go, will the down loads in the preditor take care of the missing DPF or is there another program that will have to be made to take care of the error codes. Im just checking on all this before i proceed on buying anything. i already have the preditor waiting on the L30 programs.

The pred. can NOT disable the dpf. There are the dpf-r kits that bit sims where the sensor used to be and basically fools the ecm into thinking the dpf is clear. It also resets the anti-bounce stuff which is basically a mileage counter for how long the trucks gone without a regen. It isnt PERFECTand in most cases it will prevent regen. Its pretty horrible when these trucks regen without a dpf...you can fill an entire highway full of grey smoke...smells like a giant bbq.

where do you find these kits. not sure if it will be worth it to delete the DPF if its not a reliable system. i guess ill see what the preditor will do by it self first. any word on when we will have the L30 programs coming.

I wouldn't waste the money on a dpf-r kit, i got rid of mine!!!! If you put any weight on the truck at all, it will start a parshall regen and start to kick and buck and blow white smoke. The dpf-r kits are junk and a total waste of cash!!!!!

i got an nadp dpf delete kit and know many others with them. they are a dpf-r kit. i havent heard of anyone having a problem as long as you cycle the key for at least 15 seconds a tank so it can tell your computer it went into a regen.and make sure you unplug it while you drive if you have your tunes in. the nice thing about them is you dont have to run a programmer. so when you go into the dealer just load out your tunes and its all good.
one nice bonus for us canadians is the dealers actually install them for you, and noone trys to push your warranty that iv seen.
iv put lots of miles on with stupidly heavy loads and no problems.

I had the same kit from the same place. I did everything that you did with your truck and still had troubles. I went threw 2 kits and they did the same thing. I'm glad to hear you have had no trouble with yours, but i wont go back to the dpf-r kit. The guy's at NADP are great thou, Craig helped me out big time!!!!
