Hi,
I have Windows 7, and I just purchased a U7194 and PC Interface kit. In the kit came an un-named usb/serial cable, a driver disc and a power supply.
The drivers will not work on Windows 7. Any help available? Thanks.

EDIT (mikel), try this:
http://www.diablosport.com/downloads/se ... r_v110.exe

May want to search the web for a driver...this will likely be an issue just as it was with Vista for a long time.
Having the latest OS can often be a giant PITA.

guys I'm a microsoft partner and have been running windows 7 on my laptop and desktop since b4 the RTM came out (about the last 5 to 6 months). Every single vista driver i have installed on windows 7 has worked with no problems what so ever. With the only exception being the Nvidia video card driver for my sony laptop but my laptop has 2 video cards and a switch to switch betewen the intel video card (save battery) and the nvidia video card driver (good 3d Graphics) and even that driver does everything but let me brighten and dim the screen.
Short version is just install the windows vista driver and you will be fine. You MUST however install the 64bit driver (x64) if you are using the 64bit version of windows 7 and you MUST install the 32bit version if you are running windows 7 32bit.
If you have a problem PM me with the EXACT error you get when loading the driver and I will help you.
Thanks

None of the drivers work for me on Windwos 7 64bit.
Install just says Driver install failed, and I get a yellow question mark in Device Manager.
And I only see a Windows Vista driver as mentioned, but there is nothing showing a 32bit or 64bit version... it's just one "Vista" download.
Where is the Windows 7 64bit driver for the USB to Serial cable

Trooper,
check the prolific website for their latest drivers:
http://www.prolific.com.tw/eng/downloads.asp?ID=31
it shows that they released a new one with windows 7 support (32 and 64 bit) on 12/2/09
I noticed a note on their website about installer issues with the early windows 7 builds and beta users. may want to check into fixing that if that is your issue with windows 7.

I have been trying for a month now and nothing, no drivers I've tried work. I have Windows 7 64 bit and every driver I try, Prolific or otherwise gives me the same response
" This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)
The name is already in use as either a service name or a service display name."
Please anyone give us some help here. I need to do a DCX update and I can't get the DSP to talk to my computer.
