Need custom snow tire tune. Need help!
I'm hoping someone from DiabloSport can help me. I normally use the 93CAI tune in the summer. But now I have snow tires on the car and the DS:
- increased shift firmness,
- decreased torque management, and
- loosened traction control
blows the tires loose even on dry pagement. I want to go back to the stock tune, but still want to have the benefit of the better gas mileage during the winter months.
I'm looking for someone from DS to take my stock tune and simply add the mileage portion of the tune to it, and leave the rest the same.
Please let me know. As it is, the programmer is pretty useless to me in the winter months.
Thanks!

You can alter the stock tune, but I'm not sure how much fuel to take away. Maybe someone can help you with that.

If you email one of the guys at DS, they'll hook you up with a custom winter tune that puts traction and stability control back to factory levels, while leaving the other benefits of the tune intact. You email them the tune you have loaded, and they email it back modified for winter. They turned mine back to me in about 20 minutes!
I loaded it in my 300 AWD last week when I switched to my snows. I haven't yet tried it in the snow, even though we've already gotten some here in the Colorado mountains!

Yeah, I kind of knew that, I just wanted one of the guys to chime in and give me the OK to send it... rather than just have me presumptiously dump it over to them. Do you have the email address of the person who helped you?airportdave wrote:If you email one of the guys at DS, they'll hook you up with a custom winter tune that puts traction and stability control back to factory levels, while leaving the other benefits of the tune intact. I am getting a CMR tune @ RDP this weekend... I also drive my car year round and would like a winter tune as well... I think Steve @ RDP locks his tunes, what would be the best way to get a winter tune? ]
Thanks!
Thanks!

I had the 93CAI tune in my car for the summer. I put the factory tune back in the car for now. Do I want to export the 93CAI tune from the programmer as it sits now? Or do I have to put the 93CAI tune back in the car first? How did that work again?
Thanks!
Well, I pulled both, the original backup and the last written 93CAI that I just wrote this morning.
I'm hoping to return the following features back to stock, while keeping all others the same as the 93 CAI tune:
- increased shift firmness,
- decreased torque management, and
- loosened traction control
- Enhanced launch performance
Basically, I'm looking to not break my snow tires loose every time I get on the gas or the car shifts at WOT. And if I'm in the snow, I don't want looser traction control!! I want it to be like it was from the factory during winter.

So not to Hijack this thread but I am looking to get a tune turned in to winter one also hoping you can help. I had BamaChips give me three tunes 87, 89 and 93 but I wanted him to leave the Torque Management and Traction Control alone (keep it stock) in the 87 tune so I could use it for winter. He told me just to run the Stock tune not sure why but he must not know how to leave TM and TC stock. I have a Comp 260 and a few other goodies in my Hemi Mag and the Stock Tune causes the engine to surge like no other (now that the weather turned cold).......could you guys help me? Thanks
