U7194 A/F Question
U7194 A/F Question
U7194, for a corvette Z06. Running the DS Performance 93 Octane program and I have leaned the Performance tune -10% over 4k rpm per the DSLOGREDUX recommendations. LTFT's are at 0--1 and need no adjustment. Problem: at WOT the A/F goes to a flatline fixed 12.23 ratio. Even if I lean it further to -12 or -13% over 4k, there is no change to this 12.23 ratio at WOT, (5k rpm to redline). Is there a DS program defalult for this 12.23 number? At other rpm levels, it fluxuates between 12.4 and 12.8, and the average a/f is at 12.6. Thanks (Lew are you out there?)

RE: Re: RE: U7194 A/F Question
hmm...
could be your COT kickin' in and dumping in extra fuel to cool the CAT's....
when you go back in to Modify Tune menu, does it have an asterisk next to the PE fueling sections you changed before - and still shows the settings you saved??
send me your "original backup" and "last tune written" tune files...
here's info on how to copy them outta the predator to your pc...
===========================================
Saving the original backup tune and current tune (Last Tune Written) to your PC:
1. Make sure you have installed the latest version of the DSDownloader app on your PC.
2. Once the install is complete, run the DSDownloader program.
3. Once you open DSDownloader, click "Options" and make sure there is a check mark next to "Auto Connect".
4. Once Auto Connect is enabled, the DSDL will search for and find your Predator on its assigned COM port.
5. Once it finds your Predator, you will be taken to the Express Tune page. From here, click "Get tune file from Tool".
6. The DSDownloader will ask you if you want the "Original Backup" or the "Last Tune Written". Click "YES" in order to export a copy of the "Original Backup" tune file from the Predator.
7. Once the file has been exported from the Predator, the DSDownloader may ask you if you would like to save it in the ".ori" file directory. Choose "NO" and select your own folder location, or your desktop, to save the file to so that you can find it easily.
8. Your "Original Backup" tune file is now saved to your PC.
9. Now, Repeat the steps above in order to export a copy of the "Last Tune Written" - because the tuner creating your custom tune for you will need BOTH files. So, from back at the Express Tune page in the DSDownloader, click "Get tune file from Tool".
10. The DSDownloader will ask you if you want the "Original Backup" or the "Last Tune Written". This time, Click "NO" in order to export a copy of the "Last Tune Written" tune file from the Predator. This file is a copy of the current diablo tune installed in your vehicle.
11. Once the file has been exported from the Predator, the DSDownloader may ask you if you would like to save it in the ".ori" file directory. Choose "NO" and select your own folder location, or your desktop, to save the file to so that you can find it easily.
12. Now your "Last Tune Written" tune file is also saved to your PC.
13. Email BOTH of those tune files to your tuner.
