U7180 Owner Problem

Post by halo13 »

2003 Silverado 2500HD with 6.6 Diesel
145314 (U7180)
v.9r03

I don't know if you guys remember me but I was one of the first people with the initial update that caused all these problems. You can look back through the archives here in the forum and see my initial discust with the update. I finally got back around to trying to use my $360 ($460 with the $100 useless upgrade I paid for) paper weight (U7180 programmer serial number 145314) to do some diagnostic readings because I am having trouble with my gauges in the instrument cluster I believe. So I came on here to find out the latest before I call up with my new issues. Please refer to these photos of me using the tool sitting in my driveway, note the boost pressure (which has to be off because the boost always read 0 psi before when just idling) along with all the other gobbly gook written on it. http://s586.photobucket.com/albums/ss303/scuba_d/ The only issue is that by overnighting my programmer and ECU to you guys way back then and you assuring me I would get it the following day after you received it (which didn't happen, I was without my truck for 4 days) I am leary on sending this thing back in to make it useful again. Then I found this guys post http://www.diablosport.com/index.php?na ... ic&t=14254 which really worries me. So now my question is can I just have you guys put it back to sqaure one the day I bought it. It worked great then, it loaded and unloaded tunes without removing any fuses (actually with every fuse but the ecu removed it won't install a tune today, this is after the $100 update) and i got all the diagnostic information correctly shown to me and I had 4 times the amount of diagnostics info to look at. Balance rates would be nice because I notice my oil pressure going down during the day and I don't smell diesel in the fuel but they say that can take a month before that would show up where as a balance rate could show it immediately. Its a good thing the guys over at SC in sanford hooked me up with one of their tuners so I can have the milage advantage and proper support, unlike what we get here now. So if you could please reply and let me know what I do or don't have to look forward to.
