Here's my logs...now what?
I'm using the 91 octCAI tune. I have some LT and ST KNK, but how do I get rid of it?
Thanks guys!!!
Thanks guys!!!
on a hemi they are a must. on other engines they are kind of folklore. The hemi's have a unique sensitivity to knock and the oil vapors make it a very bad problem. There are numerous posts on just this forum alone of people getting knock with the Stock calibration with only a few thousand miles on their cars.omegagen wrote:BP 93 octane and no catch-can. I'm trying to determine if it's needed. Alot of people say they're "internet folklore" and them alot of people say a catch can is a must.
Be sure to install the catch can AND clean out your intake manifold if you have driven without one aggressively for a few thousand miles.
Once you install the catch can and wait about two months after regular driving. Take a look inside the can...you won't take it off after that. Cheap mod for the $90 it costs.

you can add through the entire rpm range but try adding in the range where you got the knock. If you add across the board your adding where you dont need it. So if you got KNK STN at 3800 rpm add 5% fule in the 3000 to 4000 range and data log again to see if it got rid of the knock. Keep adding fule in that range a little at a time until the knock is gone.
