U7198 tune on 2000 silverado

It is the opinion of many on other gm truck forums that tunes such as nelson give better results of performance than the diablo. I am pleased with the increased performance but would always want more. Is nelson or other independent tuners that much better? If so can the diablo match them with the right tune?
I understand that I can upgrade my older 7198 handheld to include data logging and the latest updates but am hesitant due to many threads on this forum stating problems.
Please educate me.

Well, at the very least we give you the ability to optimize the tune if needed, as there is rarely one tune that just works perfectly for everyone.
Check those other forums, you'll find as many happy Predator owners, and solid 15-20 rwhp gains.

rat454....I have the same model Predator as you do and I'm a very satisfied customer. My tune is on an 02Z06 Vette rather than a truck.
I got the 15-20 hp I expected and was able to turn off the cags and adjust the fans to my liking. Also,I received very good email support on this forum to help me tune my LTFT's correctly.
I plan to upgrade.That's my .02 worth.

I'm not a dissatisfied customer. I have had very good support from diablo initially setting up my tune and from the seat of the pants gauge my truck hauls now. I just wanted the opinions of members here as to the claims that the diablo and handheld programmers in general don't produce as much gains as say hp tuner in the right hands.
