07 Ram "LV2 RPM Limit" PID?

What is the "LV2 RPM Limit" pid? I have been working with Johan trying to figure out why my truck only revs to 6200 rpm. Well, my tuner sent me a tune with a 5500 rpm rev limit and it revved to 5500 rpm and bounced off the rev limiter like it was supposed to. Well, I noticed this pid that I mentioned and it is at 6200 rpm no matter what my rev limiter is set to.

Obviously the rev limiter is working properly since it worked at 5500 rpm, but this LV2 RPM Limit needs to be changed to allow me to rev past 6200 rpm. I have no idea what this is, do you have any idea?

05-06 trucks don't have this problem, so it is something different with the 07+. I know the 05-06 trucks have a seperate tcm file, so maybe it has something to do with that, idk?

Yea, tell me about it. It sure would be nice to know what this is and if it can be changed so people with 07+ rams could rev higher than 6200 rpm. Is this something that can be changed or is it not even in the software to be changed? Someone answer, I mean it has only been about a year that I have had this problem.

Thanks for responding Mike. I just want to know you guys are looking into it and doing something about it. If this problem gets fixed then there will be no other issues with the 07 ram tuning capabilities. Do the 09 Rams have this issue or only 07-08? I read that the 09+ could adjust the rev limiter to 6800, but not sure?

Also, fyi I loaded the original backup in my truck to see if the LV2 RPM Limit was sifferent with the stock tune and it was still at 6200 rpm. I'm guessing this may be a coding issue with the cmr software? I know Superchips allows for a 6300 rpm rev limit on 07 Rams, so I know it can be done.

Have you ever seen a log of one actually make it to 6300 rpm though?

Yea, I had one in my truck before Diablo came out and it would rev to 6300, but I only did it once or twice since I didn't have a cam back then. If this is something that isn't in the software, would you guys have to get a truck in to fix the issue, or do you have a pcm to test with?

I have the same issue also. As with my 08 I can only raise the rev limiter +600!! Why can't we have like the older years. If I set my shift poits to 6100 it screws things up. I looks like it bounces off the rev limiter prior to the shift. This is part of the poor shifting with our modded trucks. Please look into this. We are leaving alot on the table not having the true full rev limit ability and having to set lower shift points we are losing some of are available power.
