I'd say with the stock limiter I'd look for more of a low-end torque based cam, which should still yield good 20-25 HP gains up top.

I'm running a 268 on my SRT8. Its fine with a stock limit. IN fact it falls on its face on the top end. Its very much a midrange cam.

I'm glad to hear it works good on your new car... what does that have to do with how it's going to work on a 2003 ram? The cam will have no tuning support in an 03 ram. The idle will suck and it won't be worth it.
RE: 2003 ram with comp 268
I run it in a truck (GC SRT8). It really doesn't require much tuning by itself. And I'm sure a CMR tuner can do what is required even on an 03 Ram. Its a very tame cam and nothing exotic is needed.
If you wanna go even tamer with no tuning required, the stock SRT cam that came out of my truck is on eBay right now. $19.99

6.1 cam sucks. That's why you got rid of it.
A 268 will idle poorly in an 03 ram because you can't raise the idle. That's what the 03 guys keep crying about. I'm just glad I don't own one.
