Curious,, anyone having cold start issues?
I am not throwing a code, but when the outside temp is below ~ 28f, the GPR is not actuating. I am getting a normal wait to start lamp, but a meter test proves the GPR is not operating. I hear a slight buzzing under the hood, but have not been able to isolate other than it is NOT the GPR. Replaced GPR just as a hunch, no joy (and a bithc) to start...
ANYONE???

Do you see this issue with stock tune installed?

check to see if you are getting the 12 volts to energize the solonoid , you can take a hot lead from the battery and touch the
+ side of the relay. you should hear a click when the relay pulls in.... then check to make sure the work side of the solonoid is reading 12 volts. check to make sure there is resistance on the glow plug side of the solonoid. most likely it is a burnt wire somewhere. glow plugs tend to take a lot of amps.. the light on the dash dont mean nothing. it will come on and off regardless of the glowplugs working or not.. its just a timed light. the last thing i would check if your not geeting the 12 volts on the solonoid slave side , is the temp switch before it gets to the solonoid. some trucks have it some dont.
anyway hoped this helped let me know...

More testing verifies that the ECU is not providing a GPR ground signal more often than not. This is causing an intermittent GPR operation. May be the ECU.... sheit!

ah sorry, my minds going in 10,000 different directions. Yea the crom no for you. Haven't heard of any cold start issues tune related to the u7170. Is this just on one specific tune or all of them?
