I cant get my SLP Predator 7199 to show anything on dataviewer. Everytime I do a log and plug it into my computer I get "An unexpected error has occurred". Any ideas? I have downloaded the revision for it (v.9r02). Car is an 04 GTO. Thanks!!

What operating system are you using on your computer? I tried it on my main machines, but all I run on them is vista 64bit and I kept getting that error. I ended up putting together a computer from spare parts and put xp on it so I could use it. Didn't want to deal with vista xp dual boot on my main computers. lol

yeah, the stuff will work fine with vista, but you have to be an administrator on it, and have full admin priviledges...

Is it working on the 64bit version now? I have run it under administrator but still wouldn't work. But haven't tried it for a while now.

I have it running on Win 7 x64 with no issues ---- Never messed with Vista.

I have UAC turned OFF and have installed it, and run it it from, an administrator account.

Rather than cobble an xp box together, upgrade to Win7x64 Pro. If it doesn't work for you there, then install the (free) XP32bit MS virtual machine, and run it from in there. I think, in the long run, you will be better off on 7 anyhow.

Vista is useless stodge.

Jump to 7. Been running it for a long time (went directly to 7 from XP64), and have yet to experience any kind of melt-down. As a matter of fact,an alternative would be to upgrade Vista64 to XP64. It all works well in there (XP64) too.

I have even been able to load old Fortran 32bit compilers from the Win95 days on 7x64, and it works well.

Not sure what else I can say to assist you at this moment.

Ya I am planning on going to windows 7 ultimate some time, but I have 3 machine's so it will be a bit. Putting money toward's car. :) I've ran win 7 rc on my 3 way sli rig since it's been out and can't wait to be on win 7 on them all. But the activation for rc is gunna be up in a bit so I put it back to Vista again. I've had good luck with vista but all I've run is 64bit ultimate.
