LLY and Predator = Smoke P0101 and P0700 errors

Post by countrymac »

I recently had the upgrade on my Predator so I can upgrade it via the Internet/Serial Cable.

I installed the 65hp tune three days ago and have been trying to let the allison learn the new power.

Driving around town I blowing massive smoke when leaving a traffic light or stop sign (not hitting it hard but driving with the flow of traffic)

Getting on the expressway today I needed to accelerate to merge and the truck started jerking/hesitating and eventually got on but going 65mph I was almost red lining my lly. I noticed the check engine light is now on

I pulled off at the first exit and checked the trouble codes and what Diablo Predator told me:
P0101 Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Range/Performance
P0700 Transmission Control System (MIL Request)

This is not a California truck and it does have an AfE air intake and MBRP 4" exhaust from the engine back.

Not sure what to do but go back to the stock tune but thats boring and how am I suppose to beat my neighbor in the Spring when the 1/4 tracks open back up and he wants to race his lly which is running far better on the predator then mine is and I have all the extra goodies.

The P0700 is a limp issue, you must have limped the tranny when you got on it.

Let it relearn a bit again and that should be fine.

As for the P0101, do you have a CAI on the truck?

I don't have California Emissions on the truck (as far as I know). I live in broke state of Michigan, bought the truck in Illinois from the original owner two years ago.
