All I did was add more fuel. 7.5% to be exact. No more ping and it pulls alot harder now too!

wow, that seems like a lot of fuel. where in the rpm range did you need it?

Good move. 7.5% is not a lot of fuel to add...

Thanks. I added fuel to all rpms. And Mikel is right,Its not a lot more fuel. Havent even noticed a difference in fuel consumtion yet. Hey Mikel any estimate to where my air/fuel ratio is at? Ideally I would like to be between 12.5:1 to 12.9:1 Thanks.

Its on the 93 tune with 2 degrees taken out cause I only can get 91 pump gas here.

We usually set the tunes in the low 12:1 range, and with the extra fuel you're prolly close to 12:1 at WOT.

We have dyno'd as many HEMIs as anyone, and have found they do not like to make best power in the high 12s, thus we tune them for about 12.3:1.

Thanks
Mike

Sounds good. I just loaded the 93 tune myself. I added 5% fuel as well. Still some pinging. I registered at the highest 4Degrees S-T knock. Not to bad. It seems it happens the most when pulling hard in a higher gear and stomping on the throttle in a down shift. Anyone else with this problem? I'm gonna try adding more fuel as well. I have 93 octane in it with an octane additive as well. I suspect it should be at least 95-97 octane.

If your going to use octane booster I highly recomend Lucas octane booster. I had 1.5 bottles in my tank when racing and never pingged once. And that was without adding any fuel on the programmer.

4 degrees is not bad, especially at higher load (lugging) situations. hemis are just really sensitive.

I am using Lucas additive. I'm gonna try adding a little more fuel to all RPM's and possibly pulling a little timing. Hopefully that will do the trick.

same questions pretty new to this.. how do you add 7.5% more fuel? is it the throttle calibration?

um, was thinking; 93 Octane tune - 2 degrees of timing = 91 Octane tune ??

Glad you found the right combination for your car....but some math for discussion!

M15 ended up selling the tuner, the knock came back. He mentions it on dodgeforums.com
