hi i had a vortech non intercooled v3 supercharger kit installed on my 2007 mustang gt auto. I had the car dynoed using a dynojet dyno and the tuner there said that my tune was running extremely rich saying my air fuel was at 10 which he said was causing me to loose power and have bad gas mileage. here are the results of the dyno.
Max Power 377.88
Max Torque 429.75
Conditions, 69.08 degrees
Humidity 38%

Is there anything you guys can do to help me out and get my air/fuel ratio to where its supposed to be?

Mileage? At wide open throttle? hmmm...

Either way, best bet would be to get with one of our cmr dealer for a new custom tune, Vortech sets those tunes up real safe thus the rich settings.

Thats a problem because i live in nyc and there are no cmr dealers in my area, everyone that tunes uses sct software.

heres a pic of the dyno graph. also the tuner that came with the kit was the u7140, when i had my cold air intake i had the u7145, is this a problem? i thought the u7140's were different then the ones needed for the 07 mustangs?

What you have is actually a VR7140, and is correct.

Sure is a rough looking curve though, the car would definitely benefit from some good tuning...what is your zip code?

I would agree, but I would only do that on a dyno or with a wideband....

Well out of all the cmr dealers you gave me only one can do any tuning for me but there closed until next march and arent doing any tuning. So would it be safe to reduce the fuel curve by 2% until i can get the car to the tuner? to be on the safe side? isnt there a way that i could data log my car so you guys can help me out with the air/fuel ratio? i've seen you guys help out other people with tunes before how come there is nothing you can do for me? I think its bad business to not tell people that the tunes supplied on your products can hurt peoples cars by running to rich which could cause o2 sensors to fowl, and cats to clog.

Nothing is going to foul O2 sensors. The car is NOT rich at part throttle, only at WOT, which is SAFE!!!!
Thats why Vortech sets these tunes up that way. You must keep in mind, Vortech has 50 state carb exemption on these tunes, thus they are every bit as good/safe for your car as a stock tune according to the EPA. If the tune was going to affect emissions equipment, it would NEVER get an approval from the CARB board.

Also, we have never offered to tweak supercharged tunes, especially if the user does not have a wideband in the car.

If you want to modify the fuel curve, my only suggestion would be to get a wideband and let it rip.
Get the fueling into the low 11:1 range at WOT and you should see some nice gains. You could even go back to the dyno and try adding 1-2* of timing to see if it picks up a little more power, you probably dont 'need' a CMR tune at the moment...

nemesis, dont point fingers at DiabloSport. They just made the hardware in this case. The tunes are supplied by Vortech. Bug them if you dont like the tune they gave you.
