u7137-9t06d fixed majority of my problems. Prior to this it wouldn't even read the calid and I couldn't load a tune.
Now that it's fixed and i've been doing some tuning and logging but I can't live log using my laptop. I can log with the pred until it's full...and I can download and read what was logged. But when I try to log with my laptop hooked up, it acts as if it takes a quick snap shot of the log then stops. I've tried disconnecting/reconnecting but when I do, dataviewer locks up and stops responding. I've tried both the production and beta version of dataviewer...both have the same issue.

Any suggestions?

Not sure how you are attempting to log using the lap top but after you connect your programmer and lap top, open the data viewer program and select Real Time Data Mode IN THE DATA VIEWER PROGRAM and also select the parameters you want to log FROM THE DATA VIEWER PROGRAM, NOT THE U7137. Hope this helps

I appreciate the input but I already know the process. Data Viewer starts to log the data based on the PIDs I select. But the instant some data pops up on the gauges or graph on the laptop, data viewer instantly locks. I can still see the data on the data viewer gauges but it's frozen. It's like it starts to log but instantly stops and then locks up the program. Once that happens the only thing I can do is shut down data viewer.

Not that this is the answer, but I offer my particular 'logging to laptop' experience...

My laptop would only log for about 30 seconds and then quit. Turned out that the USB-to-Serial cable was 'just barely' plugged into the Predator. I found that if I didn't snug the Serial end into the Predator firmly it always timed out. It would have been 'nice' if there was a way to tighten the connection with side-screws, but the Predator doesn't have threads for them.

After I made a solid connection - I've been able to log for as long as I want (up to an hour with no hangups).
