LED gauge type idea

Post by TIGwelder »

Virtual LED warning/status gauge type

How about a gauge type that looks like a simple LED? Small, medium and large

They can be grey (unlit) or a darker shape of the color used for off value and then lit red, orange, green, blue, etc.

Uses:
On/Off status
Temperature
Fan Status (on/off low/high)
Shift Light
Temp warnings
etc,etc

We could choose the PID, threshold/limit ( <, >, >=, =) and 2 LED colors for the gauge for on and off.

You could place several on a screen without taking up much room. Maybe monitor stuff you really don't want an entire gauge for.

Temp warning:
If PID is >= 220 then SMALL LED = RED else grey

Shift light:
If PID is >= 6200 then LARGE LED = ORANGE else DIM_ORANGE

Any thoughts?
